A Memorable Day for our Parishes

On Sunday, November 24, 2024, Father Yamid Blanco was officially installed as the pastor of both St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Nashotah and St. Catherine of Alexandria in Oconomowoc. The installation was led during that Sunday Mass by retiring Archbishop Jerome Listecki, who presided over the Mass, marking a significant moment in the life of these local parishes. Father Yamid was supported by his pastoral staff members during the ceremonies, highlighting the unity and collaboration that will guide their ministry in the years to come.

In the Catholic Church, the installation of a new pastor is a formal process where a priest is appointed to take on the responsibility of leading a parish. This includes overseeing the spiritual, administrative, and pastoral needs of the community. The installation signifies the beginning of the pastor's leadership role and his commitment to serving the congregation. We ask that you continue to pray for Father Yamid in this leadership role. Please also pray for the community of St Catherine of Alexandria and St Joan of Arc parishes as they journey forward with Father Yamid as their new shepherd.
